Quality

The term “food grade” refers to certified plastics that are allowed or required to be used in the food industry. This is all based on GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), which stands for proper manufacturing methods. GMP is a quality assurance system used in the human (pharmaceutical) and veterinary (animal) industries (for drug packaging), the cosmetics industry, and the food industry. To ensure this quality, the entire production process must be carefully monitored according to the prescribed methods.

Testing

For food-grade plastics, it is crucial to keep track of and document the conditions and methods under which the product is made. If something turns out to be wrong later on, it can be traced back to the raw materials used, the producer, and who tested the food-grade plastics. These tests are conducted following the preparation protocol set by GMP.

Food Compatibility

The plastics we process according to drawings are mainly intended for the food industry and are primarily used in food processing machines. These plastics may come into direct contact with food and can therefore end up in the human body. It is crucial that these plastics are food-safe to prevent any harm to public health.
